Some stuff about me

If I remember anything from elementary school, it's being the art whiz in the class. I'm sure many designers can relate. Naturally, I signed up for every art class and lesson I could find, just to see where it would lead me. Fast forward to college, where I started as an art major, thrilled to study something I loved. But reality hit, and I realized I didn't have the direction I needed to be a full-time artist. My college's digital and web design department was a lifesaver. It was my first taste of combining art skills with technology to create websites. From there, diving into web design as a career was a no-brainer. My journey from art to web design to UI to UX to product design might seem like a winding path, but it makes perfect sense to me. The common thread? It's all about the people who use your creations. It's about making them feel good and making their lives easier and more enjoyable.

Designers aren't just pixel-pushers here to "make things look pretty." I heard a wise PM once say that designers need to be part-time product managers too. We need to thoroughly know the product and company vision, be ace decision-makers, know what the competition's up to, and have tons of empathy for users. That's exactly what I believe and strive to achieve. I'm here to be a strategic asset to your team, bringing deep knowledge of what makes your users tick, what trips them up, and what gets them excited. With that insight, I create solutions that solve their problems. And don't worry—it's going to look pretty awesome too. 😉
